AI Training & Upskilling
AI training and upskilling gives your team, or your learners, practical AI skills they can use straight away. Instead of slides about features, every lesson builds something that works, such as a custom assistant, an automation or a support agent, and keeps the debugging in, so people can repeat it on their own work.
- From custom assistants to vibe coding
- 8 modules
- Recorded course, live workshop, team training
- 3 formats
- No real client data in lessons

What is AI upskilling?
AI upskilling is training that moves people from knowing what AI can do to making it do a job for them. For a team, that means building assistants and automations for their own work. For an institute or course provider, it means current, practical AI lessons inside a program. We deliver it through our AI Training service.
This page is about the job: what changes when a team or a cohort learns to build with AI. For formats, course ownership and how an engagement is run, see AI Training.
Why doesn't most AI training stick?
Most AI training doesn't stick because it goes out of date before it's finished and shows the perfect run, not the error on step four. Slides about features are wrong within months. Learners finish knowing what AI can do but not how to make it do it, so subscriptions go unused and work carries on as before.
Feature tours date fast
Screens and menus change within months, so lessons built around them don't last.Nobody shows the error
Courses taught by people who don't build with the tools skip the debugging, which is exactly where learners get stuck.Subscriptions, but no change
Teams pay for AI tools, yet most people still copy and paste between a chat window and their documents.
Who needs AI upskilling?
Two groups need AI upskilling most: companies whose teams have AI subscriptions but still work the old way, and institutes and course providers whose students and employers now expect AI in every program. Both need lessons from someone who builds with these tools every day, around examples that look like their own work.
| Teams | Institutes and course providers | |
|---|---|---|
| The gap | AI tools paid for, but nobody has shown the team how to build an assistant or automation for their work | Programs need practical, current AI lessons, and someone who builds has to write and teach them |
| What they get | Team training on your own tools, with your processes as the examples | Recorded lessons or live workshops, built to your program outline |
| The aim | People building assistants and automations for their own jobs | Learners who can build AI tools, not only describe them |
How does an AI upskilling program run?
An AI upskilling program starts from your outline or your team's goals and maps them to lessons. We build a made-up sample business for the demos, teach each lesson through a working build with the debugging left in, record it or deliver it live, then revise and hand over the videos, written guidelines and resources.
With AI Training
A program, certification or course that needs AI content, or a team that needs to start using AI properly
Scope against the outline
We map your program outline, or your team's goals, to lessons: topics, tools, length and the resources each lesson comes with.Build the demo materials
A made-up sample business with its own knowledge base documents, plus guides and spreadsheets learners reuse from one lesson to the next.Teach through working builds
Each lesson builds something real, such as a custom assistant, an automation, a support agent or an app, and keeps the debugging in.Record or deliver live
Lessons are screen-recorded for self-paced courses, or delivered as live workshops and team sessions.Revise and hand over
You review the lessons, we make reasonable revisions, and the videos, written guidelines and resources are handed over in the format your platform needs.
What can learners build after AI training?
After AI training, learners can build tools for their own work: a custom assistant on their own documents, AI drafting inside their workspace, images and decks from a structured prompt, a scheduled no-code automation, a support chat agent with a knowledge base, and a simple web app from a plain-English description. There are 8 modules in all.
| Module | What learners build |
|---|---|
| Custom AI assistants | An assistant for one job, built on a structured prompt and the business's own documents, and shared with a team (see Employee Training & Onboarding) |
| AI in the workspace | AI drafting and analysis inside Docs, Sheets and Gmail, and an AI browser doing research and simple tasks |
| AI images, design and documents | Images, brand graphics, decks and documents from a structured prompt |
| AI video and avatars | Short clips, B-roll and avatar videos for training, product walkthroughs and ads |
| APIs and webhooks | The understanding needed to connect tools and fix broken connections, without code |
| No-code automations | A scheduled workflow that drafts content per platform and writes it back to a sheet (see Social Media Content Automation) |
| AI agents | A support chat agent with a knowledge base and ticket escalation (see Customer Support) |
| Vibe coding | A simple web app or landing page, with a database and hosting, built from a plain-English description |
Which service delivers it?
AI training and upskilling is delivered by our AI Training service, in three formats: a recorded video course for self-paced programs, a live workshop for cohorts and team sessions, and team training on your own tools. If you'd rather have the system built and running than learn to build it, our AI chat agents, voice agents and automations do that.
| Service | Trigger | What it does | Package note |
|---|---|---|---|
| AI Training | A program or certification that needs AI content | Recorded video course, with written guidelines and resources | Self-paced programs and certifications; ownership agreed up front, including work for hire |
| AI Training | A cohort or team session | Live workshop building an automation or agent from start to finish | Cohorts, bootcamps and team sessions |
| AI Training | A team rolling out AI | Team training on your own tools, with your processes as the examples | Companies rolling out AI across a team or department |
Would you rather we built it? AI chat agents, AI voice agents and AI automations are the systems learners build in the workshops, built and run for you.
Where is it used?
AI upskilling is used wherever people need to work with AI, not just read about it. Online institutes and academies add practical AI modules to their programs, agencies teach their teams content and automation skills, sales teams build assistants on their playbooks, and consultancies use AI for research and analysis.
An AI module for the program. Online institutes, business schools and academies add recorded, workshop-style AI lessons to a certification or degree, built to their outline, with resources students reuse from lesson to lesson.
What should you know before you start?
AI tools change, so lessons focus on methods that work in any tool, but screens in recordings will date, and refreshes can be scoped later. Learners need their own accounts, and some tools need a paid plan for every feature. Lessons use made-up demo businesses, never real client data.
- Tools change. Lessons teach the method, not just the buttons, but recorded screens will date. Refreshes can be scoped later.
- Learners need their own accounts. Some of the tools taught need a paid plan for every feature.
- Demo data only. Lessons are built around a made-up sample business, so no real client data appears in a recording.
- Training or a build. If you'd rather have the system built and running, see AI chat agents, AI voice agents and AI automations.

Frequently asked questions
Questions
Answer
How do I upskill my team in AI?
Upskill your team in AI by teaching them to build something for their own work, not by showing them features. Start from the jobs that eat their time, then train them on the tools they already pay for, with your processes as the examples. Team training covers custom assistants, AI in the workspace and no-code automations, each built live.
What can my team build after AI training?
After AI training, a team can typically build a custom assistant on its own documents, use AI for drafting and analysis inside Docs, Sheets and Gmail, create images and decks from a structured prompt, and set up a scheduled no-code automation. Depending on the modules chosen, they can also build a support chat agent or a simple web app.
Can you write an AI module for our course or certification?
Yes. We write and record AI lessons for institutes and course providers, built to your program outline, with written guidelines and resources for each lesson. Ownership is agreed up front, and recorded courses can be work for hire. Our first course was about 6 hours of video across 7 lessons. See AI Training for how it runs.
Which AI tools do you teach?
We teach the tools learners will actually use, chosen against your outline or your team's stack. Tools taught so far include Gemini, ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity Comet, Leonardo AI, Gamma, HeyGen, Make.com, Voiceflow, Airtable, Bolt, Lovable and Supabase. Lessons focus on the method behind each build, so it carries over when a tool changes.
Do the lessons use our company's data?
No. Lessons are built around a made-up sample business with its own knowledge base documents, guides and spreadsheets, so no real client or company data appears on screen. For team training, the examples follow your own processes, but demo data stands in for anything confidential, and your team applies the method to real work afterwards.
