AI Sales Assistant

An AI sales assistant is an internal helper your sales team messages during the day. It answers their questions from your own product information, pricing rules and approved objection answers, briefs them on a lead's history from the CRM before a call, and drafts follow-ups for them to review. Your reps spend less time searching and more time selling.

What is an AI sales assistant?

An AI sales assistant is a private AI chat agent for your sales team, built on your own sales material and connected to your CRM. Reps ask it about products, policies and discount rules, get a summary of a lead before a call, and have it draft follow-up emails from your templates. It never talks to your customers.

It's the colleague who always knows where the latest product sheet is, what the discount rule says and what was discussed with a lead last month, and who never minds being asked twice.

Why do sales reps spend so much of their day not selling?

Sales reps spend much of their day not selling because the information they need is scattered. They search shared drives for the latest product sheet, message a manager to check a discount rule, scroll through CRM notes before a call and write the same follow-up from scratch. New reps ask the same questions every quarter.

  1. Answers live in too many places

Product sheets, pricing rules and policies sit across drives, inboxes and people's heads, so every question takes a search or a message.
  2. Answers depend on who you ask

Two managers give two different answers to the same objection, and customers hear the difference.
  3. Call prep eats the time before every call

The CRM only holds what reps remembered to type in, and reading back through it takes longer than the call itself.

How does an AI sales assistant work?

An AI sales assistant works as an internal AI chat agent your reps message on Slack, Telegram, WhatsApp or a private web chat. It answers from the product information, pricing and discount rules, policies, objection answers and email templates you give it, and reads your CRM to brief reps and draft follow-ups. Only your team can reach it.

  1. Answer on the spot

Reps ask about a product, a policy or what they're allowed to offer, and get an answer from your own material straight away, not a guess and not a message to a manager.
  2. Prepare for the call

A rep names a lead or account, and the assistant pulls its history from the CRM: past enquiries, what was discussed and what's still open, in a few lines.
  3. Handle objections

When a prospect raises a familiar concern, the rep asks how to answer it and gets your approved response, so every rep handles it the same way.
  4. Draft the follow-up

The assistant drafts an email or message from the CRM record and what the rep tells it, using your templates. The rep reviews and edits it before anything is sent.
  5. Pass on what it can't answer

If your material doesn't cover a question, the assistant says so and tells the rep who to ask. Every unanswered question is logged, so the answer can be added.

What do automations add to the assistant?

AI automations do the work around the sales assistant. They pull CRM records into the conversation, write drafts from your templates and, where it's scoped, research the lead's website for current context before the email is written. The assistant answers the rep; the automations fetch the data and produce the draft behind it.

Drafting works the same way as personalised email drafting, and researching a prospect against what you sell builds on content research and strategy.

Which systems deliver it?

An AI sales assistant is delivered by an internal AI chat agent, built on your sales material and reachable only by your team, plus AI automations that connect it to your CRM and write drafts. Both run on the tools you already use, such as Slack and your CRM, and you own everything we build.

Where is it used?

An AI sales assistant suits any team whose reps spend time hunting for information, preparing for calls or rewriting the same follow-ups. B2B teams call it sales enablement. Account managers use it to catch up on an account before a review. Field sales use it from their phone between visits, and inside sales between calls.

Same job, their words

Sales enablement on demand. An account executive asks which tier includes single sign-on, gets the answer from your product sheet, then asks for a brief on the prospect they're calling at 2pm and a follow-up draft after the demo.

What should you know before you start?

An AI sales assistant supports your team and never talks to your customers. It answers only from the products, pricing rules and approved answers you give it, doesn't approve discounts or make exceptions, and points reps to a person for anything outside your material. You choose who can use it and which documents and CRM data it draws on.

  • It's for your team only. For an agent that talks to prospects, see lead qualification.
  • Your rules, not its own. It doesn't approve discounts or make exceptions. Anything outside your material goes to a person.
  • Access is controlled. Only the team members you choose can use it, and it only reads the documents and CRM data you approve.
  • Drafts are drafts. Nothing is sent to a customer until a rep has reviewed it.
  • Better material, better answers. Gaps are logged as reps hit them, so your material improves as it's used.

How would we build it for you?

We haven't published an AI sales assistant case study yet. Here's how a build would run: we gather your product information, pricing rules, policies, objection answers and templates, connect the assistant to your CRM with only the access it needs, choose the channel your team already uses, and test it with your reps before rollout.

Questions

Answer

Does the AI sales assistant talk to customers?

No. The AI sales assistant is for your sales team only. It answers reps' questions, briefs them before calls and drafts follow-ups, and every draft is reviewed by a rep before it's sent. If you want an agent that talks to prospects directly, that's lead qualification or speed-to-lead.
