How does no-code automation work?
No-code automation works by chaining steps on a visual canvas. A trigger starts the workflow: a form, a new CRM record, an email, a missed call or a schedule. Each step after it does one job, such as calling an AI model, updating a record or sending a message, and routers send different cases down different branches.
Our automations follow four stages: trigger, AI processing, systems of record, then notify or approve. No-code doesn't mean no skill. Mapping every branch, handling errors and testing on real cases still decide whether a workflow holds up.
Why does no-code automation matter for a small business?
No-code automation matters for a small business because it makes custom workflows practical without a development team. The platform choice depends on your tools, volumes and budget. Running costs for platforms, AI models and sending tools are billed by the providers, and we estimate them before the build so there are no surprises.
What does no-code automation look like in practice?
For a UK off-market property brokerage, we built the matching system on Airtable and Make.com. Each weekday morning, new listings are matched in a batch against buyers' criteria. Reminders then follow up on a fixed cadence: 3, 7, 14 and 28 days, then 3 and 6 months, all running on their own.
